Well, on monday night we had our riding club agm and prizegiving. We have the usual speech about how well we did during the year , the annual accounts, suggestions from members and of course the prizegiving.
Our club has done exceptionally well during 2009, winning the national dressage team championships, qualifying for the rds team showjumping for the 2nd year in succession , and indeed the 3rd time in 5 years. We also have individual winners at national competition level as well as others being in the rosettes.
We also award the Rider of the Year, the Dressage Rider of the Year, and the Jumping Rider of the Year trophies.
This year I was awarded the Jumping Rider of the Year. I was on equal points with another club member, but I had more wins, so I was awarded the Trophy.
I also finished 3rd in the Overall Rider of the year.
I last won this Trophy back in 2003, so its nice to get it back for a year.
