Well I had Teachai again for the 2nd round of ShowJumping and he was not in a very good mood, bucking in the warmup arena. Well I only did a couple of jumps and once we jumped the vertical we pretty much left it at that. Teachai was now even bucking when we were walking up to the Judge. He was definitely not in the best of form. Anyway we decided to do an extra lap around the arena as I wasn't happy he was right. We were clear until the last when Teachai dropped his hind legs on the back bar and it rolled on the ground. So 4 faults after the first round.
So we went straight on to the 2nd round and in my mind was that we needed a quick clear 2nd round. So straight over the first fence and made the turn to the next fence and it just looked wrong. Teachai was definitely unsure of this fence but I kept my leg on and he cleared it, but I was totaslly off balance and just managed to stay on. I then realised that I had jumped the 2nd part of the double backwards and it looked odd because there was a backbar on it. I had taken the wrong line, turning to sharply rather than jumping the fence at the top of the Arena and then doing the double the correct way around. I realised I was eliminated so just elected to jump the first fence again as it's much better for both horse and rider to leave with a proper jump behind them.
Do not try and Jump fences from the wrong side. It is dangerous and I was lucky no harm came to me or the Horse.
